When you log in to your WebCT course, the first thing you see is the Homepage.

From the Homepage you can navigate to any point in your course quickly and easily.

Your homepage at a glance Top

Homepage includes the following features:

  • a Menu Bar gives you constant access to elements such as myWebCT, Resume Course, Course Map, and Help. Click here for a further explanation of the Menu Bar.
  • the title of your course
  • breadcrumbs that show your location within the course
  • a list of course content and tools that provides you with quick and easy navigation around your course. Click here for a further explanation of the Course Menu.
  • a Content Area in which course material appears

The Menu Bar includes the following features:

Menu Bar Item

myWebCT Allows you to see a list of courses in which you are registered.
Resume Course Allows you to resume your place in the Content Module.
Course Map Allows you to view the structure of the entire course on one page. The course elements are links, enabling you to go to any place in the course from a single page. This tool simplifies navigation and is especially useful for courses with a large number of elements.
Help Links you to the context-sensitive online Help.
Check Browser Allows you to verify that your Web browser version is compatible for use with WebCT. Note: Depending on administrator settings, this feature may not be available to you.
Logout Logs you out of the course and displays the Entry Page screen. Note: Depending on administrator settings, this feature may not be available.

Collapse/Expand Course Menu Toggle Converts Course Menu into a drop-down list and expands the Content area.
